Outbound Shipping & Delivery Policy
At South Bay Coin, we take the shipping of valuable items seriously. Eligible purchases may be shipped using secure, insured delivery through trusted carriers.
Secure Delivery
Orders are processed after payment has cleared and shipment details have been verified. Packages are generally dispatched Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and national holidays.
Insurance Coverage
Eligible shipments may be insured for the purchase value while in transit. Coverage remains active until the package is successfully delivered and signed for at the approved destination.
Address Verification
For fraud prevention and security, South Bay Coin may only ship to a verified billing address or approved address connected to the transaction. Orders with mismatched billing and shipping information may be delayed, flagged, or declined.
Signature Requirement
Because we handle high-value watches, jewelry, coins, bullion, and precious metals, shipments may require an adult signature upon delivery. Packages may not be rerouted, redirected, or left unattended if doing so would void insurance coverage.
Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments
If a shipment is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, South Bay Coin will assist with the carrier and insurance investigation. Investigations may require additional time. Any refund, replacement, or resolution is subject to carrier and insurance approval.
Inbound Shipping & Purchasing Policy
This section applies when customers ship items to South Bay Coin for appraisal, sale, or review.
Shipping Labels
If South Bay Coin provides a prepaid shipping label, the label is valid only for the specific approved transaction. Labels may not be reused, altered, duplicated, or applied to unauthorized items.
Packaging Guidelines
Customers are responsible for securely packaging all items. We recommend double-boxing valuable items, using protective packing materials, and avoiding any wording on the outside of the package that identifies valuable contents such as “watch,” “Rolex,” “jewelry,” “gold,” or “coins.”
Drop-Off Requirements
Packages should be handed directly to an authorized carrier representative, and customers should obtain a printed drop-off receipt. Packages left at unauthorized locations, unattended drop boxes, or third-party drop-off points may not qualify for insurance coverage.
Receiving & Inspection
Once received, packages may be opened and inspected under video surveillance. Items are reviewed for authenticity, condition, weight, purity, functionality, and accuracy compared to the original description.
Offer Adjustments
Initial quotes are not final and may change after physical inspection. Revised offers may apply for inaccurate descriptions, damage, missing parts, aftermarket components, non-authentic items, or market changes. No final payment will be issued without approval of the final offer.
Ownership & Authenticity
By shipping an item to South Bay Coin, you represent that you are the lawful owner or have legal authority to sell the item, and that the item is authentic and free from liens, claims, or disputes.
Insurance & Liability
Insurance coverage, if applicable, is limited to the agreed-upon valuation before shipment and may be voided by false, incomplete, or misleading information regarding value, authenticity, ownership, or condition.
Payment
Once an item is received, inspected, authenticated, and approved, South Bay Coin will finalize payment according to the agreed transaction terms.
